Tommy and Lil Ruf Kid ~ Ltd Open Futurity Champions at the Classic Slide In
Tommy Milnes rode his own Lil Ruf Kid to win the Limited Open Futurity at the NERHA Classic Slide In. The pair marked a 217.5 to also earn checks in the Intermediate and Open Futurities.
Jerry Coleman was 3rd on Chic Olena Star in the Derby marking a 219.5.

Congratulations to Emma Gruden and Nxcess Chic ~ NERHA Connecticut 10 & Under Circuit Champions
Emma and Nxcess teamed up to mark a 71 on her final run to secure the 10 and Under Championship. Nxcess is a 5 year old gelding that has had a lot of success with Emma’s mom Carol in the saddle in the derbies and teamed up with Emma for the 10 & Under classes. Look for these to in the pen.

Carolina Classic Derby Results
Congratulations to Jerry Coleman riding Chic Olena Star ~ Reserve Champions at the Carolina Classic Derby
Jerry and Chic Olena Star won the first go around with a 221 and came in second in the finals marking a 219.
Tommy Milnes made the Limited Open finals on Topsail Kid, owned by Tom Campbell.

EPRHA May Show Results
Congratulations to our assistant trainer Bryan Penquite who showed Chics Red Pine Jac to second place in the Limited Open and Rookie Professional on Sunday. Bryan was also second on Tom Campbell’s Topsail Kid in the Limited Open and Rookie Professional on Friday.
Jerry Coleman and Lenas Sugar Dolly were second in the Open on Sunday. Dolly is owned by Gary and Ann Ramis.

Congratulations to Mary Estle-Smith of Double Aught Quarter Horses in Iowa City, Iowa on the arrival of her filly by Brennas Red Pine Jac. This pretty filly is out of Miss Classy Canyon. She was born the evening of May 2nd and is 2 days old in the pictures.

Another Filly for Brennas Red Pine Jac
Congratulations to Cathy Herbert on the arrival of a bay filly out of Rock N Roll Olena by Brennas Red Pine Jac. Cathy said the filly was born the morning of April 28th. We look forward to pictures and hope to share them soon. Hershey was shown by Jerry Coleman in 2005 and won numerous Morrison trophies and finished in the Top Ten of the NRHA Intermediate Open standings. The team marked a 220.5 in the AQHA Senior class at the Congress taking 4th place.

Jerry Coleman and Chic Olena Star ~ Wimpys Little Step IO Derby Champions
Jerry Coleman and Chic Olena Star teamed up to mark an impressive 224.5 to win the Intermediate Open division of the $20,000 added Wimpys Little Step Derby. They were also 5th in the Open Derby and won the $1500 Mare Incentive and a free breeding to Wimpys Little Step. Watch for this team at the NRBC.

Florida Classic News
Jerry Coleman and Chic Olena Star win their first bronze. Jerry and the pretty little mare teamed up to mark a 145.5 and win the $1000 added Novice horse class in Jacksonville, FL. Watch for them in the derbies this year.
Tommy was third in the limited open derby on Tom Campbell’s new horse Topsail Kid. Jerry was also second in the $1000 added open on Sunday on Eric Unger’s Old Frank Hickory.
